Well, the cold fronts are here and so are the wahoo. They are showing up in truly good numbers right out front on the ledge. A few minutes out of the harbour you can be fishing. Some dolphin are also in the mix, along with kingfish and the ‘cudas of course.

The wahoo bite started early and it looks like it is going to be a really good season with great reports coming from the Out Islands as well. Many wahoo are consistently being caught around 40 to 60 pounds. Trolling anywhere from 9 to 10 knots will get the wahoo running hard at your baits so just hold on and shout “wahooooo” when those reels start screaming. Dark colored lures mixed with a ballyhoo, or your favorite wahoo trolling lure, are very enticing combinations. Make sure you put on a trolling cigar weight to keep your baits down. For these razor sharp speedsters, make sure your using cable or wire leaders. Also, on our offshore trips, tuna are still around so the fishing has been tremendous; we’ve been pulling in wahoo, dolphin, tuna and more.

If you are looking for a great fishing adventure just come to Nassau, you won’t be disappointed! We are not just about casinos! You can bet on it.
