[dropcap]N[/dropcap]othing much has been happening with the offshore bite. Tuna fishing has not been too good. We’ve been mostly reef fishing and beaching/snorkeling most of July. The way the bite has been, August don’t look too good, since August is truly the time that all the offshore fishing slows down.
For the most part, bottom fishing has been great, generating an abundance of different types of fish. We have been catching grunts, strawberry groupers, porgies, snappers, barracudas and a few amberjacks and other types of fish. Light tackle is the gear of choice as you can feel the bite a lot better, especially when a big one hits.
For the most part, the weather has been great for beaching and snorkeling. September is just around the corner!
