The three top species that you will want to target during September will be king mackerel, Spanish mackerel and yellowfin tuna.

The king mackerel can be caught in depths of 60 feet and above trolling with lures. Also, Spanish mackerel will be in the mix and can be caught in depths of 20 to 60 feet of water outside of the reef.

Yellowfin tuna will be starting to come back during the month of September. As is typical, they can be caught at either at Dutch Bar or Shallow Ground using either live bait or trolling using diving lures or skirted ballyhoo.

September is a quiet time of year on North Eleuthera but the fishing is still very good.
