Better known as the speckled trout/red fish float system, this is an amazing new product coming out of south Mississippi. The first thing you notice about the ODD-BALL is it is a 2 inch oval float instead of the standard 2 1/2 inches. It is two colors—Bright Yellow and Bright Orange-Red. The weight is attached with a stainless steel split ring and has been moved off the leader.
The beads have been arranged for maximum noise and to protect the eyelets from damage. The ODD-BALL is actually four corks in one. The weight can be moved from end to end to allow the fisherman to use Yellow in low light or Red in bright light. With the weight removed and your favorite soft plastic on a 1/8 oz head the float lays on its side while the bait is suspended and rights its self as the bait settles, allowing you to time your bait using the float.
The design allows the ODD-BALL to cast like a dart and can be used in windy conditions. It doesn’t foul either.
