On Wednesday, September 9th, PR maestro George K. Regan, Jr. hosted a fundraiser for Bay State Governor Charlie Baker at his Marina Bay homestead. And yes, there were even some notable Democrats in attendance. Backed by the bluesy sounds of the James Montgomery Band (a group Governor Baker has been a fan of since his high school years), the event was a varied who’s who of Boston’s political, civic, and business leaders, all of whom extended welcomes and praise to the first-term governor.

Among the 225 in attendance were Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito; Norfolk County Sheriff Michael Belotti and his father, Francis X. Bellotti, the state’s former Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General; Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch; Boston City Council President Bill Linehan; Boston City Councilor Stephen J. Murphy; developer David Southworth and John Nucci, Vice President Government Relations and Community Affairs at Suffolk University; real estate agent Jamie Cholette and Judge Brian Merrick.

A humble Baker made sure in his remarks to thank Regan, Publisher of Coastal Angler Boston , for advocating on his behalf. “I don’t think there’s anybody in this city who doesn’t know who George Regan is,” the Governor said.
