Greetings from South Eleuthera! October is here, water temperatures are dropping, the weather is getting cooler and the bite is getting awesome! Recently, I picked up my first schoolie dolphin in the Bahamas. A five pounder is the smallest that I have ever caught here. Usually, they run ten pounds plus year round. It would appear that dolphin will be here from October until May. This occurred last year as well. Believe it or not I also caught the first wahoo of the new season. Fishing is really looking up and should only get better and better.

Remember to cover the spread with colors that attract your targeted species. Monitor water temperature changes and cover the water column. I would suggest that you change out baits every fifteen minutes while trolling if you are not getting any action. Change the color of the skirt and change distant and speed until you find the right combination. It is not easy but will prove to be very productive in the long run. Once you have found the right combination your productivity will increase significantly.

All of us here at Ocean Fox at Davis Harbour are looking forward to reporting a lot of action in the next issue. Tight lines and reel music for everyone!
