[dropcap]H[/dropcap]appy New Year anglers! Fishing on South Eleuthera is picking up. Wahoo are being caught on a regular basis with a trophy every now and then. Found the largest school of flying fishing I have seen in years. Covered in birds, and what do you know, a couple of late or early season mahi mahi. One of the dolphin spit up her breakfast, and what do you know, a flying fish in perfect condition. Pulled out my black/blue Kona head and trolled it on a weight. Wahoo’s your daddy showed about 30 minutes later, a 50-pound ‘hoo on a free bait. Cannot ask for more than that! I have been going through a rough patch for the past few months, so I decided to change my attitude. As soon as I did, I began to catch fish again. Since we are in a new year, let’s start with a new attitude and see what happens. Slate is clean and a new year ahead can mean tight lines more often. Safety first, love what you do, and do what you love. Old wisdom for the new year. Thanks.
