[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ello anglers! March is upon us and we are looking forward to the water warming up and the fishing improving. Strange winter here. Wind was mostly from the south and west all winter which makes fishing tough here. Frigates are showing up along with skip jacks and large schools of flying fish. You know what that means. Plenty of fish and plenty of sharks. Be aggressive on the drag to get your fish in so you can get all of it and not feed the sharks. Mahi-mahi are showing up in good numbers and good size. Our schoolies here run about 10-pounds-plus. Captain Sidney went out for an hour-and-a-half and was back to the dock with nine mahi. Wahoo are still present, as long as you look for them instead of waiting for them to come to you. Mutton snapper should be showing up on the sand in the shallows this month. Use dead bait or troll ballyhoo with weighted head and red and who feather shirts. Yellow fin are here this month and will only get better as the season goes on.
Tight lines and remember safety first.
