The wahoo invasion has begun and February promises a lot of action offshore. Already we have been catching wahoo ranging from 25 to 80 pounds right out in front of Cape Eleuthera Resort and Yacht Club. Bamboo Point to the south is hot with both wahoo and mahi-mahi. Recently D Fish N Seas, captained by Robert Wells, and Rocky, captained by Bruce Pinder, along with the White Rat, captained by Scott Kelly, (all out of Nassau) have been catching giant wahoo and bull dolphin off Eleuthera Point and up at Tommy’s Point to the north.

From what I have been seeing and hearing, February will be real hot. Trolling speed should be between 7 and 10 knots using double hooked rigged ballyhoo and trolling weights with bright colored lures.
