John Detmer and Capt. Rodney Smith are offering two fishing workshops in January, which will cover surf and inlet fishing fundamentals and tips to catch snook, snapper, pompano, flounder, king and Spanish mackerel, tarpon, and a host of other gamefish.
The first workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, at the Vero Beach Bethel Creek House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The second workshop will occur Wednesday, January 29, at River Palm Cottages and Fish Camp in Jensen Beach from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pre-registration is required. Cost is $50. Attendees will receive a free Surf and Inlet Fishing Tackle Bag (valued at $30). A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hook Kids on Fishing programs conducted by Anglers for Conservation.
