Suwannee River / Cedar Key – November Fishing Report
Hey there Folks,
At the time I’m sitting down to write this forecast, Hurricane Michael is bearing down on us here in the Big Bend. We are expected to have a big storm surge which has potential of wrecking things for a while.
With that being said, November should bring some awesome fishing, and here is your forecast. The water temp should begin to cool way down, which will really fire up the trout. On the high water, look for the trout to be the flats in 2 to 3 feet of water, and on low water, they should bunch up in the pot holes on those same flats. The B52 Super Sounder cork, rigged with a Jim’s jig head and Saltwater Assassin Sea Shad tail, will be my go-to bait to catch them.
The redfish bite might slow a little around the islands, due to the fish making their way to the creeks, but there should be plenty of fish to catch along the shoreline, both North and East of Cedar Key. They should also be biting shrimp a little better, starting this month on through the Spring. So, make sure you hit DWW bait and tackle in Cedar Key. Doug and Wendy are fine folks who try to keep their store well-stocked.
Well folks, pray we make it through the storm safe and sound, and get back to business as usual before this hits the shelves. Like always, get outside and enjoy what God has make for you.
