[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he February Senior Division Inshore Tournament was held February 14. Wind and cold temperatures caused some concerns and created an hour delay to the start of the tournament, but the boats left Capt. Joe’s Bait and Tackle’s docks at 7:45 a.m., and the weather continued to improve throughout the morning.
Our boat volunteers—Bret Adams, Anna Green, Chad Painter, Capt. Charlie Conner and Capt. Rob Ward— put the Treasure Coast Casters on a good number of fish—43 actually brought back for weigh in, ranging from black drum, bluefish and croakers to mangrove snapper, pompano and sheepshead. Thank you boat volunteers!
Biggest fish of the tournament went to Ty Walker for his 4.7-pound black drum. Along with his trophy, he received a Fishing Center gift card, donated by Treasure Coast Casters volunteers Pat and Gwen, and a MirrOlure Buff donated by MirrOlure.
