[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he first tournament of the Treasure Coast Casters 2014-15 season resulted in a good turnout, despite the rain that arrived during the tournament.
Catfish was the flavor of the day with 7 of the 11 fish brought to the table being catfish. A 3.0-pound. trout, two snapper and a puffer added to the mix. We also had a 3.0-pound trout, two snapper and a puffer.
1st Place – Nicholas Rosario – 3rd grade – Fairlawn Elementary, Ft. Pierce
2nd Place – Quinn Bostic – 3rd grade – Westgate K-8, Port St. Lucie
3rd Place – Troy Daher – Kindergarten – Pierce Hammock Elementary, Loxahatchee
Biggest fish of the tournament trophy went to Troy Daher for his 3.0-pound. trout.
Tournament organizers Cammie and Capt. Joe Ward extend a big thank you to Bass Pro Shop in Port St. Lucie for donating rods for each of the TCC’s who fished. All anglers also received goodie bags.
New Caster members— Quinn Bostic, Adrain Cruz, Troy Daher, Connor Furiato, Dillon Furiato, Anthony LaBiance, Kaden Wilkes, and Kailey Wilkes—were also welcomed at the tournament.
