Lake Seminole has been a muddy mess this past month due to heavy rains here and up north. The lake levels go up and down within hours, but the fish don’t seem to mind, and have been moving into their post-spawn patterns. As the lake starts to clear, try fishing around stumps and Hydrilla in four to six feet of water with a 7 inch Strike King Ocho in Green Pumpkin and you’ll have great success. The Shad have been spawning for the last couple of weeks and the Strike King 1/2 ounce Tour Grade Rage Blade in Chartreuse Sexy Shad has been doing very well for catching Largemouth bass on the edges of the grass-lines. Also, bass have started hitting top water lures such as the Strike King 3/8 ounce Tour Grade Buzzbait in Chartreuse and White. We look for Lake Seminole to start clearing and the fishing to really turn on and get active in May.
