South Eleuthera Offshore Fishing Forecast – March 2011

Who let the Dogs Out should read Who let the Fish Out! If the end of February was a view of want is to come in March, offshore Eleuthera is where you’ll want to be. The mahi-mahi are running so thick you’ll need to remember that there are limits. Off of the The Bridge, the white marlin bite is heating up and sailfish are biting well. Working larger baits, such as a bonito, may produce a big blue so be ready! A usual hot spot in March is Tommy Sound, located 10 miles west-northwest of Powell Point. The yellow tail snapper bite has been strong and should continue. These are not frying pan size yellow tail but they are into the double digits!
