The first week is in the books and it was a good one. We had 27 weekly entries, 4 no-spot entries, and 4 youth entries. The no-spot and youth entries will be awarded at the end of the 5 week tournament. That said, this was the first time in the 5 years doing this tournament that we had a tie for the weekly winner. It was a tie between 3 anglers (Matt Carter, Jason Schall, and Tim Cook), all submitting a 6-spot redfish. The tie breaker goes to the angler who submitted their fish first. That fisherman and winner of week 1 of The Charleston Angler 2013 “By the Numbers” Spot tail Tournament goes to Matt Carter! Matt wins a 7′ medium light Shimano Convergence rod, a Shimano Sahara 3000 Spinning reel, a gage shirt and hat, lures from DOA, Zoom, ZMan and MirrOlure as well as a Charleston Angler Tervis Tumbler and Costa Del Mar Croakies! The tournament is still wide open and we can’t wait to see how many spots wins next week. Thanks again to all that participated!
