Man, has this year gone by fast! It seems like the year has just begun and it’s November already. But, as I always say, a good guide and a good fisherman fish according to the seasons and in every season you will find that the fish will act differently—the same fish, but different behavior according to the season. Those of us who are in the fishing business have to pay close attention to the season if we want to be productive. Over the years as a fishing guide I have seen many people, because they see some money in this business, go and buy a boat and say that they are a fishing guide. However, in a short time they find out that it is not as easy as it seems! It takes many years to gain the experience. Having said that, let’s get back to the forecast. November is a great time for inshore fishing the flats of East Grand Bahama. The temperature is great for fishing the reef, channel or flats. This is the place to fish according to your liking. We have it all, from bonefish, permit, mutton snapper, barracuda, sharks, jacks, grouper and more. During the warm summer months, some of the fish moved off to deeper, cooler water but now they are back and very happy. With the cooler weather, the bones will be spending more time on the flats and sight fishing will be easier. Both artificial and natural baits work well.
November is a great time to book a trip to Grand Bahama Island and see what we have to offer. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
