Bryan and Curt came all the way down to Port St. Joe, FL, from Durango, CO, to saltwater fish for the first time ever. They told Capt Jordan Todd that they wanted to catch some big crazy fish. Utilizing his vast experience of the local waters, Capt Todd’s first thought was to put them on some members of the jack family because that’s about as crazy as it gets!
Using his experience with weather conditions, he chose the right location and set out. Mother Nature cooperated and allowed Capt Todd to get them out to some nearshore wrecks where they threw large Rapala top-water poppers. The jacks were crushing them and they both caught their first, their biggest, and their craziest saltwater fish ever! After two hours they left with big smiles, sore arms and lasting memories.
Capt Todd’s experience and understanding of the local waters was key to a successful day of fishing for this trip. The memory and experience he provided these two men will last forever. That alone is well worth the price for a good guide.
