Organizers of the 15th Bahamas Wahoo Championship are ready for the registration day of the first leg of the 2011-2012 series. Registration is on Wednesday, December 7 at Old Bahama Bay, West End, Grand Bahama Island. Fishing commences at 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, and the awards celebraton will be on Saturday, December 10.
Boats need not fish all three legs of the championship to participate in the first leg. Each leg is a separate, individual tournament with its own set of winners. There is no separate entry fee to join the Bahamas Wahoo Championship.
Labeled as the “longest running and most prestigious wahoo tournament series,”the second leg is set for February 2-4, 2012, at Old Bahama Bay, West End, Grand Bahama Island, with the third leg slated for March 11-16, 2012, out of Port Lucaya, Grand Bahama Island.
International Tournaments is the umbrella organization behind the three legs of the Bahamas Wahoo Championship, as well as the Bacardi Rum Billfish Tournament.
