In the heat of the summer, comes the hot fishing here in Bimini. We are right in the middle of marlin season and if it continues the way June was, everyone will be in for world class billfishing. Bimini’s marlin fishing has been nothing short of spectacular. On the Carolina Gentleman, we had six bites out of nine seen in one day. We also released what we estimated to be a grander blue marlin after an 8 hour fight. You just never know what to expect while trolling offshore here in the summer. Dolphin are showing up, as well as yellowfin tuna, which can be found north around the Isaacs under the birds. The seas for the most part, have been very calm and all types of boats have been taking advantage of the great bite. On the reefs, yellowtail fishing has been spectacular especially around the area known as the Gingerbreads.
