First week of July
Fishing has not been that great off the Cape. The thermal cline has set in and the temps from day to day have been drastic. From 68 one day to 76 the very next day. Bait has been hard to locate as well.Jul 7th, 2013
Port Canaveral Offshore Fishing Forecast: July 2013
Rumor is red snapper is opening this month for a few weekends. You should not have any problem catching them! I had several this month in the teens trolling for kingfish on pogies. Pelican and 8A have plenty of reds on them. If you want to venture out a little deeper there’s always the 21 and 27 fathom. Basic bottom rig consists of an 8-10 oz egg sinker with 6-8 foot of 80lb mono and an 8/0 hook.
