The month of November was just plain terrible for fishing offshore. The wind was crazy the seas were rough and the water was just dirty. If you did venture out you had to go to deep water to find anything. Brevard EditionNov 25th, 2013
As the cold fronts of November cool lagoon waters into the lower 70’s the numbers of resident and migratory species are at a peak and some of the best fishing of the year is possible. Let’s take a look at what you’re likely to find in the Sebastian area in November.Brevard EditionOct 25th, 2013
The month of October was a wild and dirty ride for most of us who ventured out. The weather was not very good at all for the month. I battled rain wind and anything else mother nature had. Brevard - Capt Douglas KaskaOct 25th, 2013
The fish are going to be moving out to deeper waters so you are going to travel further to find the game fish. Continue to look for weed lines and other floating debris that the storms have brought in closer to shore.Brevard - Capt Douglas KaskaSep 26th, 2013
October is historically the top all-around month to fish the central Indian River Lagoon Area. Water temperatures drop back into the optimum range for most of the resident and migratory fish species.Brevard EditionSep 26th, 2013
Well summer is slowly fading away and so are the summer fish. I look for the waters to start cooling off a few degrees and that should bring the migrating fish back south. I would start looking for the cobia and sailfish to start moving south even though we have had a very strong bite on them all summer long. Brevard - Capt Douglas KaskaAug 26th, 2013
Well summer is here and the Sebastian Inlet offshore fishing has been pretty good if you have been able to get out. The one thing on everyone’s mind is RED SNAPPER!Brevard - Capt Douglas KaskaJul 26th, 2013
Well let’s talk about the summer coming upon us. The one thing on everyone’s mind is RED SNAPPER. Well the time has come for us to be able catch and keep ONE if you want. It has been a long time since that last open weekend to keep this fine looking fish. I ask that you please help in the study that will be going on to ensure that the season will continue to keep it open.Brevard - Capt Douglas KaskaJul 1st, 2013
