Divers are gearing up for the 2011 Central Abaco Lionfish Derby. As they say on Abaco: “No lionfish too big or small…we gotta catch ’em all!”
Captain’s meeting and late registration is slated for Friday, May 27, 5-7 p.m. at the Marsh Harbour Marina and Jib Room. Derby day is Saturday, May 28, from sunrise to 4 p.m.
Cash prizes for first ($2,000), second ($1,000) and third place ($500), with additional prizes for largest and smallest lionfish.
