Breaking News: NOAA Proposes Fishing Closure for 55 Species Off Florida Coast

NOAA Fisheries has unveiled Amendment 59 to the South Atlantic Snapper-Grouper Fishery Management Plan. This amendment aims to ban bottomfishing for 55 species, including red snapper, along significant portions of the Florida Atlantic coast.
