May is the start of prime-time marlin fishing, and are we looking forward to it! Marlin in Exuma will be up to the 350 to 400 pound range, with a shot or two at some larger fish. This will be the perfect time to dust off the 80’s, check the guides and tips of the big rods and go to it! Typically, bowling pin teasers will bring up the blues, and bring the mahi-mahi right to the back of the boat. Tuna will also be in the mix. Cedar plugs will do great on the tuna; red/ white, green/ yellow, and the blue/ white will all do the trick, just remember you want to put them way back in the spread. Exuma offers excellent fishing year- round, but May is always a very special month.

Also, thanks for keeping me posted on sailfish catches in the Bahamas.

See you in Exuma soon!
