With the arrival of November, we will have turned the corner for the Central Bahamas and Exuma Cays. The fishing will definitely begin to pick up. I have seen several schools of mahi-mahi already in Exuma Sound. Wahoo should also begin showing up any day now as they work their way down from north to south. By the time you read this you may have already caught some! As the waters begin to cool the fishing will definitely get more exciting. At time of writing this forecast, the water temperature was 85 degrees. Temperatures will drop to low to mid 70’s very quickly, so keep an eye on your temperature gauge for temperature breaks. Even one degree can make a big difference in a day of fishing. Sailfish will also start to show as well as white marlin. For wahoo on the edge, run a couple of lines deep. Tolling faster is better than slower. Blue/pink and black/purple were really good colors at the end of the last season so go from there.

Good times are coming to The Exumas!
