[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s all about the tuna and marlin this month! As water temperature will warm, it will bring the masses of bait that fatten up the yellowfin tuna. Cedar plugs have been working very well so far this season. Any color will do but I really like the green/yellow and black/purple that have been red hot. Swimming ballyhoo will also be a top combo rig to run, not only for tuna, but billfish will also jump on the life-like swimmers. Marlin will be lurking around the schools of tuna, dragging a few small tuna could give you quite the surprise. Bridle rigging with a circle hook will give you a great opportunity to get up close and personal with a billfish. Also drag a couple of big lures and some teasers close to the boat and pay attention. Bottom fishing will be strong all through the Exuma’s although grouper tend to be a bit wormy in the warmer water this time of year.

All in all, the Exuma’s will be offering the visiting angler lots of great opportunities for the adventure of a lifetime.
