This month will be your best shot at a big marlin up to 600-pounds. Marlin have been caught recently in our area and water temperatures have been holding at the perfect number. There should also be a decent amount of yellowfin tuna in the area as well. Tuna to 75-pounds are possible. Cedar plugs and Rapalas of various colors would be a good bet to tangle with one of these prized fish. Bottom fishing will produce some good mixed bag but you’ll have to look a little deeper as water temps are warming. Look in 80-to-150 feet for some cooler waters.
