CONSERVATION: This has become a popular catch phrase for both the press and politicians. However, one of the best examples of putting the word to example is the fishing community. Whether we realize it or not, every time we venture out on the water we live what the pundits talk about. With that in mind, our guest speaker at the FSFA membership this month will be the Angler Action Group.
The Angler Action group was founded by anglers, for anglers, to help PREVENT fishing closures. They will be at our meeting to teach us how, and why to record fishing data. This will be a learning experience for all and we invite you to join us on March 26th at the Vets Center in Merritt Island. As always, our meetings are OPEN to the public. We hope to see you there.
In April, the FSFA will be having an outing. It will be at the Dockside Resort in Ft. Pierce on the 19th and 20th. There is a link on the club website that has the information including rates, map, and docking availability. We have made the trip to Dockside before and it has always been great. There is access to the ocean, the Indian River, the jetty’s and beach. It’s a great location for this sort of trip.
Also in April our membership meeting will be at STRIKE ZONE in Melbourne. Our guest speaker for that night will be Capt. George Poveromo (Presented by PENN). This is the one meeting each year where we have our meeting in the southern part of Brevard County.
Our guest speaker for June will be Capt. Norm Isaacs!
If there is any information you might need regarding any of these items, please go to our website or contact any BOD member.
We are the FSFA, and we would like for you to become part of our family oriented club.
