Tis’ the season, as the saying goes, and it will be here sooner than you think! The preparations for the FSFA 46th Annual Offshore ‘SLAM’ are going on now, and we are out to make it the biggest one yet. This year there will be a $5,000.00 prize awarded to the heaviest fish to hit the scale at Sunrise Marina on June 7th. The total payouts will be $17,000.00.

The Captain’s Party will be at the Kiwanis Island gymnasium on June 6th. There will be food, drinks, vendors, raffles, and a booth for Saturday’s event.
Saturday, April 26th, we will have a presence at the 5th CAM Expo at Boater’s Exchange, doors open at 9AM.
Also in April, we take our show on the road down to Melbourne for our annual April meeting at Strike Zone Fishing on the 22nd at 7:00. This meeting is open to the public, and we encourage all to show up. There will be food & drink([donation suggested), a great raffle(prizes provided by STRIKE ZONE), and your chance to learn a little and meet Dave Ferrell from the CHEVY INSIDER FISHING REPORT, and the editor of Marlin Magazine.
For those of you living in South Brevard we would like you to know that the FSFA now has a South Brevard Chapter. The South Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the Lagoon House on US 1. The meetings start at 6:00. The FSFA is a family club. A ‘family’ membership is priced at $50.00, however all of our meetings are open to the public, so you do not have to be a member to come to a meeting and see what we are about. Give us a try. Have a beer, a bite, get some pointers on fishing from our guest speakers, but most of all have a good time. We hope to see you there…
