Grand Bahama Dive Forecast – July 2011

Summer is a great time to discover the underwater world as a family.

Summer is here with warm water, calm seas and school holidays. This is a great time for families to plan a dive vacation together. During July, UNEXSO offers the Exploceaneers camp. This is a unique summer camp which prepares children from the age of 4 to16 to enter into the world of scuba diving.

The program for children 4-to-8 years of age is the SASSY program, utilizing a fun-filled floating scuba device which allows even the youngest to breathe through a regulator like mom and dad, without the pressure related issues of scuba diving.

The 8-to-10 year olds complete the Seal Program, a five mission scuba action plan that allows them to complete part of the basic Open Water course in shallow water.

From 10 years old and up, it is time to learn how to really scuba dive. With this five day program, there is enough time to learn, and to have fun! At the completion of the course, the youngsters are certified by PADI as Junior Open Water Divers and the wonderful dolphin, shark and reef dives await them at UNEXSO.

If you have children, this is a great time to discover the underwater world together.
