Hey Yak Fishermen! Looking for fellow paddle anglers? Come hang out with us this Sunday at our West Ashley location for the first
Lowcountry Kayak Fishing Club meeting. Starts @ 3pm. See you there!
For the past few years a group of kayak anglers have been getting together once a month. Once a month the anglers would pick a location, post the date and time in the kayak fishing forum on charlestonfishing.com. They would meet at the designated boat ramp for their monthly ‘Meet & Fish’ event.
With the start of 2014 the group has decided to take this informal group to the next level. So on February 2nd, 2014 at 2PM. This event will be hosted by the West Ashley Charleston Angler. The meeting will last between an hour to hour and half.
The current scope definition for the Lowcountry Kayak Fishing Club will be kayak fishing in both saltwater and freshwater. The education in furthering the angler’s skill of handling a kayak while fishing and educating the general public on kayak fishing. Promoting conservation on harvesting fish for consumption, catch and release, and catch, photo, and release (CPR).
