[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n March, weather and fishing patterns are in transition. With longer and warmer days, the water temperature rises, baitfish show up in the creeks and the large winter schools of redfish begin to break up. As the month progresses, trout move into shallower water and begin to feed more aggressively. Given all the changes, flexibility is the key to angling success. If the shallow water trout and redfish are uncooperative, leave them and switch to deeper water structure and channels. Although fishing in March can be challenging, as well as a bit windy, anglers that are flexible and willing to adjust consistently meet with success during the transition into spring.
Over the years, a good number of people have encouraged me to write a book. How- ever, writing a real book is too much like work and cuts into my fishing time. Instead, I am releasing a series of short eBooks that cover fishing jigs, suspending and top water lures. The first eBook, A Simple Introduction to Fishing A Jig, is now available online at https://payhip.com/b/mXT2. If you want to learn more about fishing a jig, I believe the eBook will help.
