We are into the fall pattern once again here in Nassau. The weather is epic and the fishing with Bonefish Simon keeps getting better. The flats fishing is excellent during October here in Nassau. Our water temperatures are cooling and this offers our anglers great shots at some serious sportfish such as tarpon, permit and bonefish. We can always find a tide that is offering a cooling condition and ample fishing.

Tarpon this time of the year are a “first thing in the morning thing” (before 10 a.m.) Lots of fish are being caught on artificial lures such as Hogy and Mirro-Lure. What a fun way to catch such an awesome fish!

Bonefish are still loving shrimp and live crab, along with the best bonefish flies known to the sport, the Bonefish Simon Special, Crazy Charlies and the Mini-Puff. On the flats we are coming off the new moon and things are really incredible with all the flow. Tailing permit are not hard to find but making the connection in flat calm conditions is a hard way to fish with lots of denials.
