Nassau Offshore Fishing Forecast – April 2013

Well, the fishing action has picked up with a great bite going on right now. We have been catching quite a few mahi-mahi and small tuna. There is a lot of seaweed and all kinds of small floating debris mixed up in the seaweed, which is attracting bait fish that the bigger fish are feeding on. There are also many wahoo being caught. They also hang around the debris, so now you have a variety of fish in one spot and it can be one hell of a frenzy when all of your lines have fish on them.

By the way March is turning out, it looks like April will be on fire with a variety of fish to choose from. So looking for the birds and weed lines are the most productive ways of finding the fish right now. We have been catching them just out in the open with nothing around so just be patient, you never know when they will show up. There have been numerous reports of some nice 50-plus pound mahi-mahi being caught. So as the weather starts to get nicer the fishing is starting to get even hotter. So come on down to Nassau /Paradise Island and get on the Reel Deal to get in on some the fishing action.

See ya!
