The wahoo season is getting off to a good start with quite a bit of wahoo being caught already. The cold fronts have started but it hasn’t gotten as cold as I would like it to be. However, it won’t be long now until the temperatures drop enough to get the bite off and screaming. December is going to be smoking by the look of things. This is the time to get out your favorite wahoo lures to make sure they are in good condition and also don’t forget to sharpen those hooks. The ledges are where to find those speedsters lurking for their next meal. Ballyhoo and a weighted lure with wire or cable leader is best if you don’t want to get cut off by those razor sharp teeth. Also, make sure to crank up your trolling speed a couple of knots. In a few weeks, I know we are going to be in for a good wahoo season because of the amount of fish showing up already, and the weather has been great so far. So get down to Nassau/Paradise Island and book your next trip on the Reel Deal for your next fishing adventure.
