North Eleuthera Dive Forecast – January 2012

With the grouper schooling and the large jacks swimming around the deeper reefs, diving around Eleuthera is extremely good in January. The visibility is exceptional at this time of year and the reefs are alive with tropical fish of all shapes and sizes. This is a great time of year if you love underwater photography. There will be lots of happy subjects! If you are concerned about the cooler water, the temperature gets down to the high sixties to mid-seventies and that is nothing a 3mm wetsuit can’t cure. If you are one that is a cold water wimp like me, I wear a really nice 3.5mm by Scubapro and I am usually on the bottom before the water finds its way in. As we now are in season, it is important to book your trips in advance to ensure that you can be accommodated at the best times for your group. Come and enjoy all of the treasures that Eleuthera has to offer both under the sea and above the sea.
