Diving in July is nothing short of spectacular in Eleuthera. The water temperature is definitely warm, meaning no wetsuits, lots of sun, and the fish seem to love it as much as the locals and visitors do! The reefs around the island are teeming with all manner of fish ranging from silversides to reef sharks and everything in between.

If you are a snorkeler and want to learn to scuba dive, July is a great month for taking up on this desire. Leading up to the U.S. Fourth of July holiday, it is very busy here. After the celebration, the dive shops tend to slow down a bit. This means less crowded dive boats and more personal attention. Please be aware that many of the larger operators close for several months during hurricane season and to take their own vacations! If you are considering a trip in July or August, there are still many small operators that will take you out to discover the beauty of the “new world” as we often call it here in North Eleuthera.

See you soon!
