[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he fishing in waters of North Eleuthera will be great in April. The yellowfin tuna bite has been incredible, off the chain from Dutch Bar all the way to James Point. The mahi mahi bite is starting to take off, with more and more being caught and seen. The wahoo bite is still great. April will be an awesome month for mahi, yellowfin and wahoo. All three species can be caught either with live bait or trolling, with the best locations being Dutch Bar, Shallow Ground, James Point or Pinnacle. If trolling, it is best to use different color lures and skirts rigged with ballyhoo and a speed of 7- to 8-miles per hour. For wahoo, high speed trolling is the ticket. The tiger grouper and yellow fin grouper bite will also be great in April, but closest to the full moon. These can be caught with a jig or just trolling in depths from 30 to 90 feet. All in all, April will be a month to head on over to Eleuthera for some great fishing and tight lines!
