We are expecting more mahi in May. There were a few around in April, but not a whole lot. Yellowfin tuna will be around and can be caught trolling in depths from 200 feet and over at either Dutch Bar, Middle Bar or James Point. Mutton snapper will be starting to run and can be caught on squid in depths from 30 to 80 feet. May will also be a great month for yellowtail snapper, which can be caught in depths from 50 to 100 feet using a chum block and squid.
May should be a wonderful month for fishing. Expecting lots of fish! Tight lines.
