In November, the offshore fishing will start to really pick up. The three top targeted species of fish for the month are yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and black snapper.

Yellowfin tuna should be in plentiful supply at either Dutch Bar, Shallow Ground or Pinnacle. Yellowfin tuna can be caught either with either live bait, trolling with ballyhoo and skirts or a variety of other lures. Try a variety of colors and see what works best on any given day. Wahoo can be caught at these same locations and using lures and ballyhoo with skirts. Remember to to increase your trolling speed if you are targeting wahoo. Black snapper can be caught in depths of 200 feet and above using cut squid and other natural baits.

As we proceed through November, the wahoo bite will continue to improve. Reports of wahoo showing up early are coming in from all points in the Bahamas and the same will be true for North Eleuthera.
