North Eleuthera Inshore Fishing Forecast – August 2011

The deeper cooler flats of North Eleuthera are crowded with mudding fish.

August is an awesome time to come to Eleuthera. Why? Because the tourist season is now slowing down and by the second week most hotels on the island are preparing to close for the remainder of hurricane season. This is when it gets really good on the flats. There are fewer boats around to disturb the fish, so they are calming down and increasing your chances of hooking a dream fish. Here on Eleuthera, we are catching lots of good fish. The deeper cooler flats are crowded with mudding fish and huge single and doubles. One piece of advice—because it is the end of the tourist season, most guides won’t stock up on new flies until the next season, so when you plan your North Eleuthera trip, make sure that you bring a wide selection.

We are waiting on you!
