North Eleuthera Inshore Fishing Forecast – May 2011

May in North Eleuthera, you’ll find large schools of bonefish are still swimming right along the shoreline. Photo credit: Luyen Chou@flickr.com.

May on the island of Eleuthera is just awesome. In North Eleuthera, the water temperatures are still in the mid to high 70’s and so the large schools of bonefish are still swimming right along the shoreline. Anglers are catching really good numbers on a full day trip. Fish counts are anywhere from 17 to 21 and they are in the 4-to-7 pound weight average. For the next several months, guides will be extremely busy and my advice would be to book your trip as far in advance as possible to ensure you get the days on the water that you want!

Tight lines!
