North Eleuthera Offshore Fishing Forecast – August 2011

Offshore fishing in August is actually pretty darn good. The billfish are around and there are still a few yellowfin tuna on the late bite. We are also still catching large wahoo, but the blackfin tuna are crowding the drop-offs. These massive schools are all over and make for a really exciting day of fishing. If you are going to visit North Eleuthera in August, coordinate with your charter captain what he feels is the best time of day to head offshore. This is the best time of the year to book a half day charter. You can spend half the day when the bite is best, then you have more time to explore all the other adventures North Eleuthera has to offer.
