Offshore in October, wow! Everyone is excited because the wahoo are beginning their migration through the islands. Judging by what has been caught recently, the fish are really good size. During the latter part of September, I saw a 120 pounder and a smaller 70 to 80 pound fish caught in the same day, and this is the early part of the season! In addition to start of the wahoo migration, kingfish, red snapper and grouper are being caught on the shallower reefs. October is always a splendid month to plan a trip to North Eleuthera. The fish are biting and the livin’ is easy!
