North Eleuthera Offshore Fishing Forecast – April 2011

Long Island mahi-mahi

My first offshore fishing trip as a charter captain was in April and I have been hooked ever since. April is an offshore fisherman’s dream date because there is so much going on. In April you will find increasing numbers of tuna, and large Dorado cruising the weedline, rips and color changes. With the winter/spring transition completed, the winds are calmer and conditions are much less sporty, making for an extremely pleasant day at sea. With the lengthening day light hours, it is much easier to time the fishing with the tides. If you are planning to visit North Eleuthera this month, it is getting busier so please book your trip as much in advance as possible. I look forward to your visit and sharing the wonders of North Eleuthera with you and your guests.

Tight lines!
