As we look forward to Easter and Spring breaks, the waters around North Eleuthera/Harbour Island are warming up. Temperatures will move from 75 degrees to 79 degrees and require a shorty wetsuit for most. Shark diving season is upon us, so ask about our exploratory trips for great hammerheads and silky sharks. Current Cut fast speed drift diving will now begin to become more commonplace for possible big animal action while moving swiftly through the waters.

Our local manatee Gina is still visiting the marina at Valentines so proceed with caution. Scientists were here recently to tag and follow her movements.

The local PADI swim school is open and teaching children to enjoy the water safely, so if you need a fun activity for your child as they learn water safety or you are on vacation for a dive or snorkel excursion why not drop off the kids for some fun with Valentines Dive Center Swim School. We have lessons as well as pure fun sessions.

The diving and snorkeling in April will range from 20 foot dives to 115 foot dives, from patch reefs to mini walls, and from swim through’s to shipwrecks. Our sites invite you to experience swimming with eagle rays, tarpon, eels, turtles, barracuda, lobsters and schools of fish.

Our world-famous, three-mile pink sand beach awaits you, so come try out the great food and fun, as well as uncrowded surroundings, for a great time!!
