November provided some great fishing nearshore and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Offshore bottom fishing was awesome with catches of gag grouper, red grouper, scamp grouper, vermillion snapper, white snapper and wahoo. This good bite should continue into December.
Nearshore trolling has produced some king mackerel and Spanish mackerel. We should also see this fishing continue into December. The bull redfish should also be found in December within a couple of miles.
Vermillion snapper can be caught within 15 miles if you are looking for some tasty fish. Red snapper and triggerfish can be caught but must be released. The weather can be cool or very nice. Enjoy some December fishing off the Alabama Gulf Coast.
