It’s snook time! The season opens back up after its summer closure on the 1st of the month and anglers will be casting Rapala diving plugs along the piers and jetties around the port looking for a legal sized specimen to take home for dinner. Live pinfish and fingerling mullet fished near these structures will get you into a snook fight too. Upper stages of the tide are usually better than lower stages so plan your trips accordingly. Bluefish, Spanish mackerel, jack, mangrove snapper, and flounder are other possible catches when targeting the snook.
