The Southwest Fall Open was a great time! We started the day thinking we would knock out the redfish first. We had a few spots in mind, but ended up getting two 21” redfish back to back! They were both nice fish, but we would need a larger snook to finish the day. Our friends over at Boca Coast Chum ended up getting us some chum dip and we had a few takers, but one was more memorable than others. Of course when you are going for big snook you’ll usually get some tarpon as well and we ended up with three! I had an over 40” snook run off with my hook; it was a sad loss as she would have been big enough for the win. We got her right up next to the boat, but at the last second she spit the line back at us. A heartbreaking loss for sure, but we had a great time fishing the tournament for a second time! They also held the same tournament in the spring that we won, so it was fun to be the ones to beat! I wanted to apologize for the shorter articles, Aaron and I have been so busy the past few months. We are very excited to announce we have both worked extremely hard and got our Real Estate licenses. Aaron and I joined MVP Realty and will be doing showings for properties in and around Naples from the boat!
